대한민국 최초 1970년 2월에 명칭 한국 진도견협회로 출범하였다.

한진협은 오랜 역사와 빛나는 전통을 이어온 진돗개 전문 단일견 단체로서 다양한 실무경험을 토대로 수많은 진돗개 전문 감식가 와 애견단체들을 양성 배출하였고 진돗개 보호 육성 발전과 세계 명견화 조기정착에 진력하고 있는 대한민국 유일한 한국진도견 협회 임.

Established in February of 1970, Korea Jindo Dog Association(KJA) was the very first organization committed to the breeding and development of Jindo dog, a breed indigenous to Korea. KJA has a long history and shining tradition as a single breed organization and over 5 decades of extensive research and experience, has trained and produced countless experts, appraisers and animal companions. KJA continues to be the only organization in Korea and indeed the globe dedicated to the Jindo breed. We are unwavering in our mission to preserve Jindo dogs and develop worldwide recognition of the breed.
